My name is Cory Geraths. Currently, I am Visiting Assistant Professor of Rhetoric at Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana. I am a feminist and queer historian of rhetoric, with specific research interests in classical rhetoric(s), visual rhetoric(s), rhetorics of gender and sexuality, Christian rhetoric(s), comparative rhetoric(s), and rhetorical pedagogies.
My research has featured in Advances in the History of Rhetoric, Rhetoric Review, and Communication Teacher. I have also published book reviews in QED: A Journal in GLBTQ Worldmaking and Philosophy & Rhetoric. I am currently at work on several essay-length projects, as well as a book project on the rhetorical reception of Mary Magdalene.
I am currently teaching undergraduate courses in Gender and Communication, Classical Rhetoric, and Public Speaking. In the past, I have also taught courses in Persuasion, Rhetorical Theory, and Message Analysis, and have served as a teaching assistant for courses in Rhetorical Theory, Classical Mythology, Ancient Civilizations, and Jewish and Christian Foundations.
